INTAKE TUBE
- Computer designed and HUGE! We were able to design this tube to use all of the available space, the tube is 6" at the filter end and smoothly tapering down to 4.5" at the Throttle body side. Keeping the intake tube a half inch bigger than the stock throttle body in anticipation of aftermarket offerings.
HEAT SHIELD
- The rotational molded plastic heat shield blocks engine heat at idle and low speed. The intake tube passes through the heat shield to have a complete seal with the hood acting as the lid to the air box. Our shield incorporates the fresh air inlet from the grill for the factory style ram air effect.
TUNING
- No tuning is required with this intake system

AIR FILTER
- We use only the best air filters made by S&B to our specifications. We love S&B's tapered flange design and Powerstack filtered ends. With a huge 6” opening on the tube we needed a huge filter. The result is a monster 6x9” filter.
OIL OR DRY
- We use only the best air filters made by S&B to our specifications.
For years we only used oiled filters, but dry filter technology has been proven and is now a popular option.
Should I choose a Dry Disposable or Cotton Oiled Filter?
- Since you are not sacrificing performance with either choice, the decision comes down to would you rather throw away the filter or clean it.

JLT Performance 2020 Shelby GT500 Cold Air Intake Testing At Palm Beach Dyno
Hot off the 3-D printer and off to Palm Beach Dyno for some testing of our 2020 Shelby GT500 Cold Air Intake. Ken Bjonnes hasn't even added boost yet! Just a Lethal Performance track exhaust and resonator delete (sounds incredible) and of course our prototype 2020 GT500 JLT Performance Cold Air Intake. Ken says the blue line is on pump 93 octane and the green is MS109 race fuel. Amazing work guys and we'll be watching as your story continues.Thanks for rockin' the JLT!
